Announcing the special fare in Lagos on Tuesday, Arik Air’s managing director/executive vice president, Chris Ndulue, said this is the airline’s special way of appreciating the contributions of the Emir of Kano to the political and socio-economic development of Nigeria.

“We in Arik Air see Kano as very strategic to our operations and this explains why the ancient city was our first destination in Northern Nigeria when we started commercial flights in 2006. His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ado Bayero is a father figure in Nigeria and his reign has brought monumental developments to the ancient city of Kano and Nigeria in general. We identify with the emir and the people of Kano on this special occasion of the golden jubilee anniversary”.

Arik Air serves Kano from both Lagos and Abuja daily.
