Joy was visible in his voice as he spoke that warm Thursday afternoon.  It was expected that his joy would know no bound. He had just been declared the winner of a four bedroom detached duplex in Lekki at the ongoing FirstBank’s Big Splash promo.

Kenechukwu Ikenna Frank, customer of FirstBank from Nkwugu Ator Nkwo local government area was declared winner of the grand prize of a completed 4-bedroom detached duplex in Lekki after the grand draw of the Big Splash promo which took place in Port Harcourt on the 16th of July 2014. Other prizes also won at the draw were three brand new Toyota corolla cars, cash prizes of N50, 000, refrigerators and standing cookers. The promo is part of the bank’s drive to reward its customers and in commemoration of the 120th anniversary celebration.

When he first got the news that he was the big winner, Kenechukwu says he danced and sang it his feet were nearly sore. “I am happy in both body and soul,” he tells me laughing. “In fact when I remember the whole thing, I start dancing, because God has liberated me, even though I have a property of my own where I am living. For some from Abia state to own a plot at Lekki it is not easy. Happiness is something that keeps you happy, both body and soul. I am always happy, when I am sleeping and I remember these things I am happy. I sleep very well and I am very happy with FirstBank.”

Kenechukwu who is married with four children says he has been banking with FirstBank for more than four years. Hence being announced the winner of a duplex in Lekki is beyond his imagination.

“In fact when I got this information from the manager of the market branch manager where I do my banking I was really very excited about this special gift from God.  It is over 5 years and  I have been experiencing very good accounting then.  Honestly, I did not expect any such thing from First Bank. It is the act of God that made me emerge the winner.  I like the bank because it has a very solid foundation and they have dedicated staffs all over, with various branches everywhere. They treat customers very well that is the one thing I like about them.”

The 67 year-old is a trader in Port Harcourt who deals in products buying and executes contracts for Abia State government amongst others. He says his family has been joyous about his prize. “Their reactions were too high everybody was jubilating, since I got this information about my celebration four people have opened up account and I have opened account for all my family members.  I have never won any price from first bank since inception or since I started banking with them. Even financial prize or any other thing I have not won before, I have not even applied for 1o kobo over draft or loan, because what I have in first bank is enough for me to do that business. ”

Kenechukwu says many of his colleagues still keep their money in their shops and houses, hence he advise them to take advantage of what FirstBank has to offer in terms of good customer service.

I always advice my colleagues to go to their nearest First Bank and open a savings account. With Firstbank, their money is safe. They can be assured that FirstBank treats its customers well and they have good staffs who can advice you when you go there.”
