At this troubled times in Nigeria, we must all unite in one spirit, body, and soul to pray for our fellow citizens who daily shoulder the excruciating burden of protecting the rest of us from the evils and reproaches that besiege this great nation. Let’s pray and actively complement the soldiers who out there die in their numbers in the harsh arid of North East Nigeria fighting for all of us despite the poor pay and barrages of insults many of us constantly haul at them via different media platforms.
Let’s pray for our health workers (not the striking doctors) who put their lives and that of their loved ones on the line everyday and pay the supreme price fighting off Ebola virus and other deadly ailments yet to come; known or unknown from our territories only for us to stigmatize and avoid them like plaque and lepers.
Let’s pray for the innocent, helpless, armless, and law abiding ordinary civilians, Christians, and moderate Muslims who daily get hacked to death, beheaded, bombed out of existence, and have their life investments and houses razed to ashes by Sons of Darkness.
Let’ pray for the evil men from within and without this nation who aid and abet the terrorism that now chokes our beloved country killing the innocent in thousands in pursuance of their demonic credo, and that the Almighty God will put an end to the reign of these princes of Persia rewriting the history and law of the world with pens of trigger and cold inks of human blood. May they be chased to the gate of hell and pushed to their perpetual painful death in the deep jagged gorges of the lake of fire.
Let’s pray for the triumvirate of Corruption, Mediocre, and nepotism that keeps our nation stranded in poverty, ignorance, and backwardness while her peers speed past her into the great future of goodness and economic emancipation that Almighty God will course us and our leaders to only always put our best minds forwards and put only the right shape of pegs to their appropriate shapes of holes and cause us to pursue only the things on which our genuine love, passion, and enthusiasm rest on. And may God cause them to keep off leadership positions in every sphere of our national and local lives.
Let’s pray for our leaders who though at the moment are corrupt, incompetent, and non God-fearing that they may acquire the heart to care, love, and protect their fellow citizens and gain the wisdom and sagacity to tackle the doom that stare us from the heart of the night.
May the cup of extinction pass over Nigeria. May the Sword of Damocles never dangle over her head. May Nigeria emerge from the rubbles of this trying times and moments of truth to rule the world. Let’s all do something for our nation and beloved country, Nigeria.
