Martin Marz, Managing Director of the German Trade Show Specialists, Fair-Trade, on Monday urged Nigerian businesses to begin to harness the enormous opportunities for them in international exhibitions.

Marz told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that Nigerians should see international exhibitions as platforms for linking new technologies adapted to their businesses with the Nigerian market.

“We just had the Agro-food and Plastprintpack Nigeria 2017 international exhibition in Lagos, which was attended by 110
exhibitors from 20 countries.  We had exhibitors, mostly from Germany, France, Italy, China, India, Denmark, Austria and different other countries.

“This exhibition and conference was able to promote networking opportunities between Nigerian and West African professionals in the agro-food industry and international suppliers from these 20 countries.

“For instance, through this exhibition, the international suppliers were able to bring and introduce to Nigerians and other participants, new technologies that are adapted to Nigerian products and the market.

“So, it is important for more Nigerian businesses to always participate and take advantage of the huge and beneficial opportunities being offered by international trade exhibitions and conferences,’’ he said.
