A business delegation of some French industries will be visiting Nigeria to participate at this year’s edition of AgroFood trade and exhibition at the Landmark event centre in Lagos.
The French companies are attending in conjunction with ADEPTA (French Association for the Development of International Trade in Agricultural and Food Processing Techniques), and are expected to sign memorandum of understandings (MoUs) with their Nigerian counterparts in various subsectors of the country’s agribusiness.
According to Akin Akinbola, managing director and CEO, Promosalons Nigeria, organisers of the French business delegation to the expo said that the agricultural sectors of Cameroon and Gabon will be represented during the trade mission: agriculture and livestock, food, beverage and packaging technology.
Akinbola, who also represents Nigerian business delegation to SPACE in conjunction with Bretagne Commerce International, a recognised Animal Production Trade Show in Rennes, France, says SPACE 2017 had proven over time with its track records and achievements, stating that the expo is very apt considering the country’s quest to revive the sector.
“Latest innovations and technological activities in livestock and cattle rearing from around the world will be showcased. SPACE 2017 is the one-stop trade show where innovations and technologies can be explored and discovered in the improvement of livestock production and rearing,” he said.
He therefore urges the Nigerian public of the visitation of 16 French firms to Nigeria on trade mission from March 28 to 30.
The French companies expected at the expo includes: Bakery – Eurogerm, JAC, Lesaffre, VMI, Diane Industries, AIT Ingredients, and Eurofours. Livestock are IMV Technologies, Idena and Space. Process and Packaging are Synerlink, Prolac, Decopack, Lima, Stale Processing, and Zalkin.
AgroFood 2017 presents opportunity for Nigerian firms in this industry to secure business partnerships with the visiting French companies, as participants will be able to build relationships and contacts with a view to increasing their international trade.
Visitors and participants who visit the French companies exhibiting stand will be afforded the opportunity of seeing live the step-by-step procedures in the latest innovations of baking and processing activities. There will also be free sampling of the delicious and freshly baked foods, as visitors will be able to have a taste of French Baked Delicacies, ‘Croissants’, and varieties of breads and ‘pâtisserie.’
