PDP suspends Daniel, 12 others for alleged anti-party activities

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ward 12 in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State, under Ogun East Senatorial District, has suspended the immediate past governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, and 12 others for alleged anti-party activities.

Speaking with newsmen at a meeting held at Isara in Remo-North federal constituency of the state, Doyin Fakoya, the chairman, Ogun East Senatorial District, disclosed that the suspension was carried out “so as to bring back discipline into the party”.

According to Fakoya, “Otunba Gbenga Daniel has been suspended from PDP by his ward, Ward 12, Sagamu Constituency II. I am the senatorial chairman of Ogun East Senatorial District, I have got a copy of the letter that Otunba Gbenga Daniel has been suspended, he is no longer a member of the PDP; he has been suspended by Ward 12, Sagamu Constituency II”.
