Seven suspected armed robbers believed to have carried out last month’s deadly attack at the Bureau De Change at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMA), Ikeja, Lagos, in which two policemen were killed, were on Tuesday paraded by the Lagos police command.

Recovered from the suspects and displayed at the state police command headquarters, GRA, Ikeja, were five AK47 rifles, four dynamites, 64 AK47 magazines, all fully loaded with 30 rounds totaling 1,920 live ammunitions. Other items included Toyota Siena space bus, with registration number BDG 918 AG, two locally made pistols, two masks and several charms.

Among the paraded suspects were Ibikunle Olanrewaju John, Atoba Adeniyi, Ibrahim Abdullahi, Kazeem Aderibigbe, Saheed Adekunle, Christian Joshua and Saheed Okunola. They are said to be members of the armed gang which stormed the airport on March 13, 2013 and shot dead two policemen.

Umar Manko, the state commissioner of police, who paraded the suspects, said the gang attacked the Murtala Muhammed International Airport last month and killed two policemen, saying that the robbers were not based in Lagos, as they were arrested in Osun and Oyo states.
