Napoli have insisted that Galatasaray must pay the full €75 million release clause in one outright payment to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal this summer.
Despite Osimhen’s desire to remain in Istanbul following a stellar loan spell, and Galatasaray’s determination to finalise the transfer, negotiations have hit a snag over the structure of the payment.

According to reports, the Turkish champions have submitted a fresh €75 million bid, offering to pay €40 million upfront and the remaining €35 million in a second instalment.
However, Napoli are not willing to accept a staggered payment over multiple tranches and are demanding a more concise two-instalment plan or full payment upfront.
To reassure Napoli, Galatasaray have offered a bank guarantee for the total amount. If approved, Osimhen will be given the green light to undergo his medical and be officially unveiled as a Galatasaray player.
Galatasaray director Abdullah Kavukcu, who is still in Italy as talks continue, made the club’s stance clear: “We won’t come back without Osimhen.”
Osimhen was in sensational form during his loan spell last season, netting 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 competitive appearances for Galatasaray. However, unless an agreement on the payment structure is reached, the deal remains in limbo.
Another meeting between both clubs is scheduled for Saturday morning as Galatasaray continue to push for a breakthrough.
