Dhive, a US‑incorporated company is redefining e-commerce with its live streaming shopping sessions.

With the launch of its mobile app in June 2025, the company hopes to transform online retail by integrating live video streaming with real‑time customer interaction.

The move seeks to bridge the gap between the dynamic in‑store experience and the convenience of e‑commerce.

Over the past few years, Nigeria’s e‑commerce sector has seen remarkable expansion.

According to Statista, revenue in the Nigerian e‑commerce market is projected to reach $7.04 billion in 2025, up from an estimated $8.53 billion in 2024.

Business‑to‑consumer transactions alone are set to soar from $15 billion in 2023 to $33 billion by 2026 while forecasts indicate that by 2026, 13 percent of all sales in Nigeria will occur online.

Building on the success of its web platform, Dhive’s mobile app enables businesses to host live product demonstrations, answer viewer questions on the fly and close sales instantly.

This format not only enhances transparency as viewers see items in action before purchasing, but also fosters the kind of trust that static online listings often struggle to achieve.

“Our goal is to create a platform where customers feel confident in what they’re buying before they pay,” said Ugo Ugoji Harry, CEO of Dhive.

“This app will redefine how people shop online by prioritising trust and engagement.”

According to the company, there are 30,000–50,000 users on its waitlist, revealing a hunger for more immersive e‑commerce experiences.

Every purchase through the app earns shoppers cashback, and real‑time discount mechanics further drive conversion.

On the merchant side, Dhive equips sellers with analytics and global‑reach tools designed to tap emerging markets where live shopping is poised to accelerate.

Security and privacy are central to Dhive’s proposition. As a US‑incorporated company, the platform complies with international data‑protection standards, and all buyer–seller messaging is protected by high‑level encryption to ensure private, secure communication.

The Dhive mobile app will be available for download in June 2025, with a full global rollout scheduled by 8 July 2025. This launch represents a major milestone in establishing live shopping as a mainstream complement and alternative to traditional e‑commerce models.

“We envision Dhive as the go‑to destination for immersive, trustworthy online shopping experiences,” Harry added.
