What is your advice for women looking to build a career around aviation but are limited by funding?

For women aspiring to build a career in aviation despite financial limitations, I recommend exploring scholarships, mentorship programs, and training grants offered by organizations like Women in Aviation International (WAI) and airline-sponsored initiatives. Additionally, consider entry-level roles, apprenticeships, and online aviation courses to gain experience and skills while networking with industry professionals for future opportunities.

At Delta, we support the Leadership, Empowerment, Achievement, and Development (LEAD) Camp. Initially held only in Nigeria, it expanded to Ghana in 2024 with Delta’s funding. The camp celebrates International Women’s Day with 30 girls from Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa attending empowerment sessions. Topics include career planning, financial literacy, personal hygiene, and health. In 2025, funding will expand the camp to 50 young students for five days.
