Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Mojisola Meranda hasresigned, after 50 days in charge.

Her resignation comes two weeks after members of the house passed a vote of confidence on her leadership. The Lagos State parliament has been embroiled with controversies since the impeachment of Mudashiru Obasa.
