Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, for the construction of a smart international airport at the Leki-Epe axis in the state of aquatic splendour.

Governor Sanwo-Olu announced the event on his Twitter handle now X; Babajide Sanwo-Olu @jidesanwoolu. He wrote, “We signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the internationally acclaimed construction company, Summa Group, to develop and construct the much-awaited Lekki-Epe International Airport”.

Highlighting the benefits the airport holds for the populace and businesses when completed, Sanwo-Olu said, “The Lekki-Epe International Airport will facilitate travel and create new opportunities for businesses and residents throughout the state-Lagos leads, always.”

He alluded to the drive by his government to bequeath such noble infrastructure to Lagosians and by extension to Nigerian citizens and everyone earth-wide desirous of accessing Nigeria for business or leisure.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu stated, “This groundbreaking initiative is an essential part of our vision to improve connectivity in Lagos, stimulate economic growth, and draw in global investments.
