Tony Eboh, Chief Executive Officer, of Upfront and Statistics, a Lagos-based firm has disclosed the reason why he converted a private jet worth N150m into a luxury event space.

Eboh said the private jet was transformed into an event space to serve as a prime location for content creators, filmmakers, and influencers who require a premium setting for their productions.

He said the space would offer a premium setting for various social and corporate gatherings.

At the unveiling of the facility in Lagos, the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Tony Eboh, told Punch that the repurposed aircraft would serve multiple functions, including wedding photoshoots, music video productions, dinner dates, and business meetings, according to a statement.

“This is the first of its kind in Nigeria. We have created a space that caters for various services, whether it’s a romantic dinner, a podcast recording, or a high-end business meeting. It’s a real business opportunity, not just a luxury experience,” Eboh stated.

He said he got inspiration from something similar done in Los Angeles and decided to introduce it to the Nigerian market, which he described as having a growing appetite for high-end lifestyle experiences.

Eboh noted that the location was strategically selected to ensure accessibility while maintaining exclusivity.

“It’s a freehold property, so you don’t need estate permissions to enter. However, access is strictly by booking—no walk-ins allowed. Bookings are strictly by appointment, with a minimum charge of N100,000 per hour, depending on the type of event,” the businessman, told newsmen.

According to him, executing the project came with significant challenges, including construction, labour, and logistics. He said he had to engage experts and skilled local workers who worked to transform the property in about a year.
