Less than 48 hours to the end of his tenure, Nigeria’s outgoing president, Goodluck Jonathan, Wednesday signed the Tobacco Control Bill into law.
Jonathan’s tenure ends midnight of (today) May 28.
The signing of the bills was confirmed by the presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati, on Wednesday.
Other bills signed by the president include: National Sugar Development Council (amendment) bill, AMCON Amendment bill, Standards Organisation of Nigeria Bill, Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency Act and Equipment Leasing bill.
