In a bid to explore business opportunities, a delegation of Tunisian companies were in Nigeria, Monday and Tuesday this week, on a trade mission, with the primary aim of securing business partners in Nigeria and exhibiting some of their products to the general public.

In view of this, the business meetings which was held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, from 10am to 6pm daily, was organised for Nigerian companies during the two days. The host of the delegation was the Tunisian ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Hattab Haddaoui and his team, and at the venue received and facilitated the discussions between Nigeria and Tunisia businesses. The Nigerian delegation was lead by Akin Akinbola, managing director/CEO, Promosalons Nigeria, Cameroon and Gabon.

The following chambers of commerce and industry also led their delegations to the venue: Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and NACCIMA.

Some of the visiting companies were: SIA (Société Industrielle d’Amortisseurs) represented by Houcem Rekik, a company specialised in design, development, and manufacturing of shock absorbers, both in hydraulic and gas technologies, for passenger cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles, and buses; GIF Filter represented by Mohamed Jaziri, produces a complete range of oil, fuel and air filters, for light or heavy vehicles; Assad Internaional represented by Slim Kallel are manufacturers of automotive batteries (for vehicles) maintenance free batteries, and dry charged batteries.

Others are STE Le Joint Industriel represented by HAJ. Ayed Ameice, manufacturer of head gasket and full set gasket for cars, trucks and industrial use; TTI (Tunisie Technique Internationale) represented by Atef Saanouni and SACEM Industries represented by Mourad Belhadj, and both specialised in the production of circuit breakers, combined RCD/MCB devices, accessories, substations and transformers; MEDIMIX represented by Mami Hichem, specialises in the production of animal feed, vitamins, minerals and also premix, and SIVO Essilor, represented by Maher Turki, which is a multinational and industrial lenses company and also the African leading company in the lenses industry.
