Female entrepreneurs in Nigeria often face significant challenges, from securing funding to overcoming societal biases. Despite these obstacles, women-owned businesses continue to thrive, significantly contributing to the economy.

SmallSmall, a leading advocate for financial literacy and installment payment plans, is set to host the SmallSmall Fair 2024 at the Pistis Conference Centre on August 17th.

In a statement, the organisers said the event in collaboration with Herconomy, FezDelivery, CargoPlug, and MoneyAfrica, aims to support and spotlight female entrepreneurs.

“The fair, expected to attract over 5,000 participants, goes beyond mere exhibition; it celebrates diversity, inclusiveness, and the resilient spirit of Nigerian entrepreneurs. SmallSmall’s commitment to inclusiveness is evident through their provision of 10 free basic booth spaces for women-owned businesses, offering them a platform to showcase their products and services,” the statement said.

Herconomy, FezDelivery, CargoPlug, and MoneyAfrica have been at the forefront of advocating for women’s economic empowerment. By partnering with SmallSmall, they aim to extend their reach, helping more women connect with potential customers and partners at the fair.

Naomi Olaghere, SmallSmall’s co-founder and vice president, said “The SmallSmall Fair is about community, collaboration, and creating an equitable business environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed,” she stated.
