Fishermen and boat riders are trying to save one person who was flung into the water below the Lagos Third Mainland Bridge on Wednesday, eyewitnesses are saying.

A yellow commercial bus with black decal, popularly known as danfo fell on its side in an accident on the bridge Wednesday afternoon.

Footage from the accident scene showed drivers and passersby helping passengers out of the fallen bus. Others were scene calling out to boats below the bridge, directing them towards where they believed the person flunged over the bridge to have landed.

Eyewitnesses said emergency officers have been contacted, but are yet to arrive as of the time of this report.
