The Igbo Forum of the Up-Front Nigeria Initiative has said the long hand of the Nigerian political clock has pointed towards the north for the presidency, under the leadership of Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This was made known by Lewy Ike Godspower, the national chairman who now urges all Igbos to understand and to support the new change, to be part of the future of Nigeria.
“PDP had ruled Nigeria for more than 15 years should be grateful to God and allow another party a chance to rule. All Igbos must also know that PDP is not an Igbo party nor is APC an Igbo party; the only known Igbo party is APGA and that shows where the Igbos are today in the Nigerian political calendar. Therefore, Igbos are wise to understand that we are the silent majority be wise to know where the political clock points and follow immediately for us not to lose our turn for the presidential seat in future,” he said.
The group further said: “The insinuation that if the Igbo man becomes the president of Nigeria, he will declare Biafra is a wrong one and a mere political statement against the Igbos to prevent the Igbos from having the presidential seat in future.”

“Those who are telling Nigeria to expect problems in 2015 election and those who said if PDP wins there will be problems and if APC wins there will be problems should know that God is very much interested in Nigeria for some obvious reasons which I might not want to say now. Nigeria is bigger than any individual.
Political violence after an election sometimes is common in many parts of the world. And that does not signify problems. “So, those going to the media should be careful about their statements in order not to plant evil in the mind of people. We are not expecting any problem.
President Goodluck Jonathan has said there will be a peaceful election and I believe him because he is a peaceful man. His coming to power was determined by God and for a purpose. Let this be in the mind of all Nigerians and let us allow peace to reign. “I also think that INEC should be allowed to exercise its constitutional power of determining the voting method to use and not to be pushed around by any party,” Godspower said.
“I, therefore, urge all Igbos leaving in Lagos to be wise and to vote Akinwunmi Ambode of APC so that the Igbo vote will be significantly shown that the Igbos voted in their numbers more than any other tribe in Lagos State. This will make Igbos enjoy his leadership. Please, my fellow Igbo people, be wise because Ambode will surely win in Lagos State. “I also call on all the people of Imo State to vote Owelle Rochas Okorocha of APC for a better Imo State. He is a visionary leader who will lead the Igbos in future. Up Front Nigeria Initiative Igbo Forum has remained the silent majority for long and will now speak out with a loud voice of call on all Igbos telling them about the future and what is UPFRONT in Nigeria,” he said.
