INEC extends deadline for PVC collection to February 8

The Independent Na- tional Electoral Com- mission (INEC) has extended the deadline for collection of permanent voter cards (PVCs) to Sun- day, February 8, 2015. This supersedes the ear- lier deadline of Saturday, January 31, 2015, the com- mission said. Kayode Idowu, the chief press secretary to INEC chairman, in a statement on Sunday said the com- mission decided to extend the deadline so as to give registered voters, who are yet to collect their PVCs the opportunity to do so in readiness for the February 2015 general elections. “INEC hereby calls on duly registered persons not to delay in going to collect their cards before the expi- ration of the new deadline”, Idowu said.
