WNM Limited (formally known as Wireless Newmedia Limited), an integrated business solutions provider, as part of its services delivery drive to provide product offerings and services to its clients, has enter into an alliance with Dura Composites, a UK-based firm and global supplier of composite products for flooring, structures and facades, to strengthen technology and infrastructure prospects in Nigeria.

According to Akin Akinola, CEO, WNM Limited, the partnership with the UK-based firm is a strategic move to offer the use of composite solution as an alternative to traditional steel and metal and traditional concrete where applicable because of their inherent advantage and value they provide to construction and technology projects.

Akinola said Dura Composite, who is key player in the manufacturing of various building and construction materials made out of composite fibre glass materials, will through the vision of the company offer a variety of innovative services including the planning and implementation of composite solutions for related infrastructure and construction projects, end-to-end implementation of unique access control systems, and deployment of communication networks infrastructure.

There is a lot of potentials for the use of composite in different sector s of the economy in Nigeria, but there seems to be a lack of knowledge or awareness about the availability of these composite solutions as an alternative to the traditional method that we are used to, he said.

He further said that creating adequate awareness about the availability of these solutions will ensure that Nigerians begin to benefit from the use of composite solutions as countries in Europe, America and the Middle East.

The WNM boss noted that as a business, they were committed to research and developments, adding that the ability to be innovative had ensured they go in search of alternative solutions to traditional product like cement, steel and wood.

Over the last three years, we as a business have been providing solutions to the Lagos State government through the Lagos State Works Corporation as well as the Lagos State Metropolitan Authority (LAMATA) in the field of composite manhole and drainage projects,” he said.
