When more women work, economies grow. According to the United Nations, if women’s paid employment rates were raised to the same level as men’s, the economy would be better.

Women’s economic empowerment boosts productivity, increases economic diversification and income equality in addition to other positive development outcomes.

It is on this knowledge that the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE) has joined forces with Shecluded, a dynamic business network, to empower women entrepreneurs and catalyze job creation.

The project is designed to create and improve women entrepreneurship for youth job creation. The project impact goal is to be able to create employment for 3600 young women within the ages of 18 – 35 in the next two years.

In today’s dynamic world, numerous talented women find themselves facing unemployment and financial insecurity.

These women possess immense skills and potential, but social and environmental barriers hinder their progress. Among them are former high-performing career women who, due to unavoidable circumstances, have had to relinquish their positions because of their family.

Recognizing this pressing challenge, Shecluded is taking the lead in creating opportunities and fostering women’s economic empowerment. The Program aims to bridge the gap and provide aspiring female entrepreneurs with the resources, support, and guidance they need to transform their business ideas into thriving ventures.

“We believe in the boundless potential of women in business, and our partnership with CFYE strengthens our commitment to their success,” stated Ifeoma Uddoh, CEO at Shecluded.

“The Incubator Program is a testament to our collective dedication to creating a more inclusive and empowering business landscape for women in Nigeria.”

Through this innovative program, participants will receive comprehensive business training, mentorship, invaluable resources, access to a collaborative co-working space, Debt funding of up to two million naira, and a nurturing ecosystem, allowing them to work at their own pace and realize their entrepreneurial dreams. By unlocking these opportunities, Shecluded Hub is paving the way for aspiring female entrepreneurs to become catalysts for change and economic growth in their communities.
