President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Abdullahi Mustapha as the Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN).

According to a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the President anticipates that the new ECN head will play a pivotal role in advancing the administration’s efforts to diversify the nation’s energy resources and drive industrialization across the country.
Mustapha brings over a decade of experience from his tenure at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), particularly in the energy and space technology sectors.
