Propertymart Real Estate Investment Limited has unveiled plans to launch another housing estate called Belmont Uptown. The estate will be situated at Makun, within the OPIC scheme on Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, a serene haven in the warm embrace of nature, about five minutes drive away from the Redemption Camp, Adeyinka Adesope, managing director, has said.

The estate is expected to be a green city. Part of the alluring features of Belmont Uptown for prospective buyers is its accessibility, given the ongoing expansion of the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway into eight-lane highway proposed to be completed in 2017.

Adesope, while announcing this latest milestone achieved by the company, said: ‘‘The huge demand for home ownership has further strengthened Propertymart’s vision to not only reduce housing deficit in Nigeria, but to provide homes in a serene, spacious, secured and well structured environment.’’

The estate would sit on about 3,700 square meters of land, he said, as the new housing project was being implemented in line with the Ogun State Property and Investment Company’s (OPIC) proposed New Makun City.

The managing director disclosed further that preparations were in top gear to commence construction of the new units of affordable and exquisite homes at the Belmont Uptown estate, saying that prospective subscribers could get their home type from N5.2 million to N48 million.

‘‘This housing scheme is targeted towards the middle-class who want to realise their dreams of becoming home owners in an environment with best in class amenities, apart from its combined exquisite design, unique layout and serenity, the Green area has a buffer space between buildings for tree planting, flowers and grass that will be constantly fumigated,” Adesope said.

“The prospective owners of the estate will also benefit from its multiple advantages, which include affordability, easy payment term, access control within the estate and accessibility to Lagos as a result of the expansion of the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, ’’ he said.

According to the managing director, there were five house typologies being proposed which included four-bedroom (fully detached), three -bedroom (semi detached), three-bedroom (fully detached) bungalow and two-bedroom (semi detached) bungalow respectively, with each having a boys’ quarter while the fifth house type is the Belmont Mini villa comprising one-bedroom apartment in four units.

Each unit of the house can park a minimum of three cars and as much as five cars, he stressed.

The estate, when finished, will have first class amenities such as swimming pool, estate club house with a café, restaurant and lawn tennis court. It will also have well-paved road for pedestrians, underground cabling, street lights and CCTV cameras for effective security.
