Titus Uba, speaker of the Benue house of assembly, has won the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket for the state.

Uba booked the ticket at the election held at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi, Benue State capital.He got 731 votes to defeat his closest rival, Benson Abounu, Benue deputy governor, who scored 81 votes. The speaker won 21 out of the 23 LGAs in the state. A total of 851 delegates voted at the Benue governorship primary.

In Delta State, Speaker, Sheriff Oborevwori, won the PDP governorship ticket.
Oborevwori, Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, said to have been backed by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, has secured a landslide victory as he scored 590 votes at the PDP gubernatorial primary held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba on Wednesday.
