One month after he was appointed Aviation Minister, chief executive officers of the nation’s aviation agencies have pledged to support Osita Chidoka in his quest to continue with the transformation agenda in the sector.

They made the pledge during conferment of National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) award on the minister by President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to them, “We are confident that your sterling qualities at the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC)  which earned you this award will be brought to bear in the aviation industry.”

The President, who was represented by the Vice President Namadi Sambo, said recipients were being recognised for their productivity and commitment towards nation building.

He charged them to continue to give their best for the growth and development of the country.

The event, which was chaired by Emeka Nwogu,  the minister of labour, also witnessed the conferment of the award on other notable Nigerians whom they said had made significant contributions to the development of the country, in their various fields of endeavour.

Jonathan said Chidoka is being recognised, with the award “because of the significant improvement he brought to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) where he served as the corp marshal.”
