In the rouse of nationwide take-off of Cash-Lite policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), if you have a UBA MasterCard in your hand, this is the time to start using it wherever you are –locally or internationally.

Interestingly, the bank customers are not using it for a fee but for a reward as United Bank for Africa plc in partnership with MasterCard embarked on an initiative to reward MasterCard cardholders via what the bank calls ‘Priceless Holiday’.

UBA MasterCard is among an array of cards that the bank doled out to help its customers eliminate cash.

The objective of this initiative tagged ‘Priceless Holiday’ is to encourage international spend during this Summer season; encourage the use of the UBA MasterCard for local and domestic web and POS payments.

“It offers holders of UBA MasterCard who spend N50, 000 and above using their Card on the ATM abroad, or on the Web and POS in local and international outlets, a chance to win up to 750 shopping vouchers to spend on whatever items they choose to”, Yinka Adedeji, divisional head of E-Banking, UBA plc.

For non-travelers, spend up to N50,000 or its equivalent on your MasterCard on the POS and Web (in-store, local and foreign e-commerce sites) to win shopping vouchers worth N10,000 for 500 customers.

For potential travelers, spend up to N100,000 or its equivalent on your UBA MasterCard on international transactions, e-commerce and POS to win shopping vouchers worth N20,000 for 250 customers.

Frequent travelers just need to spend up to N250,000 or its equivalent on your UBA MasterCard on international transactions and win an all expense paid trip to Atlantis the palm, Dubia and Loads Of Shopping Vouchers.

“The grand reward is a breathtaking all-expense paid trip to Dubai which comprises the following- stay at underwater signature suite overlooking the Ambassador Lagoon Aquarium at Atlantis The Palm, helicopter tour of Dubai, guided tour of the world’s largest mall, luxury dinning at the world famous Nobu Restaurant, a visit to the top of Burj Khalifa,” Adedeji added.

Ahead of September 30, 2014 when the initiative is expected to end, it is already attracting UBA MasterCard holders, the bank’s account holders and the general public at large who look forth  to a once in a lifetime experience.

In recognition that UBA MasterCard is accepted in over 210 countries and at millions of terminals across the world, the bank believes that its card holders do not need to take cash with them where ever they are going in the world as long as they have a UBA card.

The bank’s secured e-banking platform ensures that it customers carry out cashless transactions without worrying about the security of their money or funds.
