With the desire to offer naturally well fermented wine to consumers, Intercontinental Distillers Limited, maker of the prominent Chelsea London Dry Gin and Squadron Dark Run, has introduced into the market Chapeau Red Wine.
At the launch of the wine in Lagos, Patrick Anegbe, CEO, Intercontinental Distillers Limited, noted that the Chapeau natural wine was produced in South Africa, “for the purpose of enjoyment and promoting good health. Chapeau is a good wine made from natural grapes from the Zidela grapevine in Stellenbosch area, one of the oldest regions in South Africa for over a century.
“It’s everything wholesome and refreshing for all wine lovers. Chapeau red wine comes in Merlot, Rosé, and Cabernet Sauvignon, whichever one you choose, what you will get is natural goodness.”
There are series of assorted wines globally, but the red wine is considered the most classic in the kingdom of wines, mixing red grapes with wide range of aromas, from oak of eucalyptus chocolate of even mint hints.
Beyond doubts, Patrick explained the uniqueness and the distinctiveness of the Chapeau Red Wine, saying that naturally made wine was the best red wine one can ever see in Nigeria. The constituents of the Chapeau Red Wine make it obviously different from other red wines in Nigeria. The Chapeau is made up of series additives such as sugar or alcohol, it is not synthetic either, it’s just a natural wine with natural products, he said.
However, it has been confirmed that the consumption of wine in moderation reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and heart attacks. For instance, compared to teetotallers, light drinkers who consumed wine cut their risk of dying prematurely by almost one third, and wine drinkers as a group had significantly lower morality from cardiovascular disease and cancer.
“The natural products are never comparable to synthetic products, therefore wine lovers who will consume the Chapeau Red Wine will not only enjoy themselves, they will also experience healthy benefits,” he said.
