The United States on Monday lamented the murder of at least 43 farmers by the Boko Haram sect at Koshebe village in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno on Saturday.

The US condemned the terrorist attack through a press statement a copy of which was sent to BusinessDay Monday night.

They empathized with the families and friends of victims while reiterating support for Nigeria in the fight against terrorism.

According to the statement, “The United States condemns in the strongest terms the abhorrent November 28 terrorist attack in Borno, Nigeria.

“The United States offers our deepest condolences to the families and friends of those killed or kidnapped.

“These craven attacks are a stark reminder of why the United States stands with the Nigerian government and people as they fight to defeat terrorism and work to bring the perpetrators to justice.”
