Bresson AS Nigerian Limited, one of Nigerian Pioneer Independent Power Producers has concluded plans with Emergency Power conglomerate Aggreko to bolster Nigeria Electricity Market with 250mw of electricity within the next nine months.
The 250 mw would be broken into various stages of 10mw,15mw and 20 mw and this would deployed across industrial clusters in such place like Ogba, in Lagos state and some parts of Ogun State.
Consequently , a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed in Paris by the chairman of Bresson, Gbenga Olawepo and the Regional Director of Aggreko Christopher Jacquin, who signed respectively on behalf of their two companies.
The project will be sited in industrial clusters within the country.
According to sources close to the Nigeria Independent Power Production Company, Bresson, the company also plans to put in place additional 250 mw to the existing 250mw thereby bringing the total capacity to 500mw in the next twelve months.
This would be exclusively for embedded generation aimed at strategic centres in order to arrest the current acute power shortages.
Bresson, is also proposing to construct a 90 megawatts plant to be sited in Magboro , Ogun State .
When the project is completed it would be linked to the national grid. It is expected to cost $105 million.

Additional a 20mw , a joint project between Bresson and Aggreko is being designed to serve the immediate neighbourhood of Magboro as an embedded generation option.
