Nigeria’s beauty industry seeks to make a difference with beauty business summit

The second edition of the Beauty Business Summit(BBS) was scheduled for the 25th and 26th of June 2019 at the Radisson Blu Hotel Ikeja and it saw the coming together of beauty entrepreneurs and executives learning from an array of heads of businesses from within and outside the beauty industry.

The edition gave birth to the Beauty Business Club (BBC), a social organization that will offer different resources to start or improve beauty businesses in Nigeria and ultimately Africa.  Through this initiative, the Beauty Business Summit hopes to cover beauty entrepreneur’s journey thereby developing beauty businesses that will put Africa on the map.

The Beauty Business Summit is powered by Allure Media Ltd and is saddled with a vision to uplifting the beauty industry by building synergies among beauty entrepreneurs thereby building the beauty industry into Nigeria’s emerging economic gateway.

Adeolu Akinyemi, the Chairman of  Maverl Natural Products PLC  and also a serial entrepreneur said  the Beauty Business Club has the potential of being a key driver that will address critical issues concerning the nation’s beauty business ecosystem.

Since inception in 2018, the Summit has been consistent in providing platform for enhancement of the beauty sector. Day one of the two-day summit kicked off with a panel iof discussion where the keynote speaker Adrinola Oloruntoye (Digital Architect , Verraki Patrners) took the audience on the need to use data consistently and continuously  for businesses to stand a chance in the 21st century .

 Lampe Omoyele , M.D , Nitro 121 on day two stressed the need for participants to strive to understand their customers actually needs. “This sector has the potential to provide the lion share of the jobs badly needed to power the economy, it is time to do it properly”

The co-founder of the Beauty Business Summit, Oluwayemisi Seriki , reiterated that the summit achieved its mission of igniting personal transformation and business growth for those in attendance.” We are on a mission to fire up beauty businesses and to encourage more start-ups in the industry “.
