Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has announced appointment of members of the boards of some government agencies, in the state.
The new members of the boards range from that of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Kano State Hisbah Board, Heads of Kano Sports Council, Research and Documentation, Kano State Investment and Properties Company (KSIP), as well as, Kano State Library Board.
A statement made available to BusinessDay by the chief press secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar said the appointment is with immediate effect.
Anwar disclosed that the Governor commended the appointees who got their appointments renewed, noting that the gesture was because they discharged their duties diligently, during the first tenure in office.
He called on all appointees to remain focus in discharging their respective responsibilities.
“This government has a focus. And we believe in scientific planning of our responsibilities for the proper execution of both ideals and ideas, for the overall development of the state. All appointees should take it at the back of their minds that our government is people-oriented and should remain so,” he noted
The new head of the MDAs are: Abdullahi Pakistan, Chairman, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Aliyu Musa Aliyu, Director-General, Kano State Hisbah Board, and, Sakina Aminu Yusuf, Chairman, Kano State Hajj Affairs Tribunal.
Other heads of Agencies and Parastatals, are: Halima Rabi’u Abdullahi, Executive Secretary, Agency for Mass Education, Gali Sadiq, Managing Director, Kano State Radio Corporation, Lawan Sabo, Managing Director, Triumph Publishing Company, and Sa’a Ibrahim, Director General, Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV).
Others are, Jibrilla Mohammed, Managing Director, Kano State Investment & Properties (KSIP), and, Ibrahim Galadima, Executive Chairman, Kano Sports Council, Ibrahim Ahmed Bichi, Executive Secretary, Kano State Library Board, and Sagir Sadisu Buhari, Director General, Research and Documentation.
