Ondo gets new head of service

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has approved the appointment of Oluwadare Aragbaiye as the new Head of Service of the Ondo State Public Service.

The appointment followed the retirement of Toyin Akinkuotu as the head of the service.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Segun Ajiboye in a statement on Friday said the appointment was in line with the provisions of Section 208, Sub-section 3 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended.

Akeredolu described Aragbaye as a reliable person who he said would provide the right leadership for state public service in his quest to reposition the public service.

The statement read: ” While congratulating the new Head of Service, Governor Akeredolu is convinced that he will provide the right leadership for the state public service to complement the efforts of the administration to reposition the public service.

” Prior to his appointment as Head of Service, Oluwadare Aragbaiye was the Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocol. Aragbaiye joined the state public service in 1985 as an Administrative Officer, Grade Level 08 in the Ministry of Finance.

” He was Permanent Secretary in the Ministries of General Administration and Transport.

” A shrewd administrator, Oluwadare Aragbaiye has traversed several MDAs in his career in the state public service.

” The new Head of Service will be sworn-in at 11 am on Monday at the International Events and Cultural Center (The Dome), Akure.”
