The President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), Francis Johnson, has died in the early hours of Friday after a yet to be disclosed illness BusinessDay has confirmed.
The General Secretary of PENGASSAN , Okugbawa Lumumba, confirmed Johnson’s death on Friday, adding that the Union officials are on their way for a condolence visit to the family of the deceased.
Johnson became PENGASSAN president in 2004 and is said to have brought dynamism to leadership. According to a reliable source, Johnson was poised to become President of the the Trade Union Congress (TUC) before his demise.
