Hajj fare: NAHCON approves N1.5m for potential Kwara Pilgrims

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has approved a sum of N1,528.559.10 as 2019 Hajj fare for intending pilgrims from Kwara State to Saudi Arabia.
Mohammed Tunde-Jimoh, the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board disclosed this in a statement he released in llorin on Sunday.
According to the statement, the fare for individual intending Pilgrim was jointly determined by both the National hajj Commission of Nigeria and Official of the 36 state Muslim pilgrims welfare Boards.
Jimoh in the statement said  the approved 2019 hajj fare for Kwara pilgrims takes care of  airfare, accommodation, transportation and other logistics for intending pilgrims both in mecca and Medina.
The statement disclosed that all the intending pilgrims travelling with the board will receive flat rate of 800 US dollars each as basic travelling allowance BTA.
The board, however, directed intending pilgrims from the state who had made a deposit of N1.3million or N1million to the board to complete their payment immediately.
 This the statement added would enable the board to meetup with the 15th June closing date fixed by NAHCON for completion of payment of 2019 Hajj fare.
The Executive secretary urged the intending pilgrims to pay the balance of their Hajj fare at polaris PLC and Zenith Bank respectively and collect the receipt at the Board after payment.
The statement reveled that  prospective Muslim who are willing to perform 2019 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia with the board can still do so on or before the deadline of 15th June 2019.
