NEPZA assures investors of safety of Investments

The Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority, NEPZA has assured Investors both local and foreign operating under the Free Zone Scheme in Nigeria of adequate security of their lives and Safety of their investments.

Terhemba David Nongo ,NEPZA Acting Managing Director, who was represented by the General Manager, Zones Operations (Public) Oyesola Oyenle gave the assurance during a condolence visit paid to the management of LADOL Free Zone at Tarka Bay, Lagos, SCH-MCI Free Zone Enterprise and the Commandant General NSCDC for the killing of their staff and personnel.

It would be recalled that a Korean Nationale Taekun Kang, a Manager with SHI-MCI Free Zone Enterprise and a Civil Defence Personnel were allegedly shot dead on the 10th of April, 2019 by and Operative of NSCDC identified as Innocent Oshemi, who was on guard-duty in the Free Zone at the time of the incident.

Terhemba while pledging the agency’s support for full and thorough investigation into the matter, called for calm to enable the relevant security agencies complete their investigation.

NEPZA confirmed in a statement on Thursday that the delegations that visited the corporate headquarters of LADOL and SHI-MCI FZE that delivered a condolence letter signed by the T. D. Nongo include; GM, Public Private Partnership, (PPP) Alhaji, Ahmed Gurin, the Head, Lagos Liaison Office, Mr. Garba Hayatu, Manager, Free Zones, Aliyu Kachalla, Head Corporate Communications, Simon Imobo-Tswam and were joined by the LADOL Free Administrator, George Okon.
