The Bauchi state chapter of Igbo Political Awareness Committee has disassociated itself from some political posters being circulated by a political support group with ‘Igbo Kwenu’ inscription.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the committee Chief Mathew Osochukwu and Chief Emma Nwachukwu respectively.

The statement described the action of the Bauchi PDP South East Coalition, the group distributing the posters as totally unacceptable and against the community’s constitution.

The statement noted that there was no time the Committee drums support in favor of PDP’s gubernatorial candidate, Senator Bala Muhammad.

It stressed that as a socio-cultural organisation, the group is not against any political party or candidate in the forthcoming elections in Bauchi state.

The statement warned the South East Coalition for PDP to desist from the act in order to avoid polarization of the Igbo community in Bauchi state along partisan lines.
