OVH Energy, licensee of the Oando Retail brand, as part of it strategies to advance customer engagement and service delivery options has organised its 3rd annual Free Car Diagnostics programme in Lagos.
The event was powered by Oleum, the company’s leading auto-motive lubricant brand.
Olaposi Williams, Acting Chief Executive Officer of OVH Energy Marketing, while speaking on the focus of the event said “Safety is priority in anything we do and we understand that aside from producing quality products like Oleum, we have a responsibility to ensure that our customers get appropriate auto-care support and knowledge through initiatives like the Oleum free car diagnostic event. We want to educate Car owners on the importance of auto-care and safety.”
The 2017 edition of the event which was organised in partnership with Garutech, a renowned diagnostic company and the Nigerian Bottling Company took place at the National Stadium in Lagos, offering free auto diagnosis, oil change services and refreshments to car owners and customers.
The company organised this year’s first diagnostic event to ensure that customers safeguard themselves ahead of the upcoming Easter holiday season, when thousands of people usually embark on road trips to various destinations countrywide. The diagnostic services were performed by OVH Energy Marketing’s technical partners, Garutech a renowned automotive mechatronics outfit who specialize in vehicle diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance in Lagos.
Lillian Ikokwu, Head of Lubricants, OVH Energy Marketing while commenting on the Oleum Car Diagnostic Event, said “Sometimes, we get busy and ignore the warning signs in our cars but we are better safe and sorry. People need to make a habit of checking their cars more regularly and we want to cultivate that habit with the Oleum Car Diagnostics. It is an avenue to figure out what is wrong at no cost and get it fixed to avoid interruptions or accidents. We hope to expand to other parts of the country very soon. “
Chidi Obioha, one of the beneficiaries of the free car check said “ this is my second time at the Oleum Car Diagnostics event and this is a really good initiative, the only thing is I wish is that is more frequent, perhaps monthly. I got my car checked by auto-care professionals for free and I also had my car serviced with Oando Oleum. I have saved a good amount of money today”.
Another recipient, Farouk Oyebanjo stated “I heard of the Oleum Car Diagnostics online and this is my first time attending. I am definitely going to be here for the next edition. I was able to find out what was wrong with my car and now I know what exactly needs to be fixed- so it just saves me a lot of stress and money. “
Some lucky participants were also rewarded with free fuel vouchers and discounts on lubricant purchases.
