International Breweries Plc has announced the appointment of Sunday Akintoye Omole as it’s new Chairman. This follows the retirement of Otunba Michael Daramola, in compliance with the company’s Article of Association, at the expiration of his five (5) year tenure. The company made the disclosure today in a letter sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange and signed by company’s secretary and General Councel, Muyiwa Ayojimi .
Omole the new chairman of the board who resumed office 22nd March 2017, is a graduate of Sociology from the University of Ibadan. He is also a member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants, UK. He has worked and gained a wild range of experience in the food and beverage industry.
Omole is on the board of directors of other companies including Cardinal Investments (Nigeria) limited, Mustard Concept LLc (USA), The Omole Group and Universal Foods and Beverages.
He was the Chairman of the company’s risk Management/Remuneration committee prior to his new appointment. The disclosure also stated the approval of Michiel Oerlemans as the new Chief Operating Officer “COO.”
