With about 170,000 visitors as well as 2,670 exhibitors expected from around the world, Interpack 2017 Trade Fair on packaging and processing industries will kick off on May 4-10 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Interpack is a platform for complete value chains, encompassing processes and machines for the packaging and processing of packaged products as well as packaging materials, packaging means and their production, and services to the packaging industry.
According to its country representative in Nigeria and Sub-West Africa, Trade Fair Services Limited, the fair will focus on food/beverages, confectionery / bakery, pharmaceutics / cosmetics and industrial / non-food items.
“From Processing and packaging to distribution, consumer protection and protection against product contamination, deterioration or damage and proper handling, the challenges are huge and only an overall approach can meet the demands set by old and new markets, social change, evolving consumer habits and rapidly developing trends and ensure success across the board. No other trade fair in the world presents the entire supply chain. It is a trade fair in the packaging industry that provides all sectors with tailored-made solutions and innovative designs based on such a variety of packaging materials.
”This year edition which promises to be special for both visitors and exhibitors will be in 18 exhibition halls, covering about 5,000 square metres and situated at the heart of interpack. With an approximately 2,670 international exhibitors being expected from well over 60 countries and about 170,000 visitors from 163 counties, interpack 2017 will showcase the very best products and services in processed and packaged industry”, the country representative explains in a statement.
As part of side attractions to the 2017 edition, the company states that Interpack will be partnering with the World Packaging Organization (WPO). “And within the scope of the cooperation, the WPO has extended its WorldStar Award to include the category Save Food Packaging Awards which will reward best-practice approaches that have already proven themselves on the national level, and the awards will be presented at a ceremony during the Interpack 2017”, the statement adds.
