If you thought that the growth recorded in e-transaction in the third quarter was significant, perhaps you should wait for the fourth quarter numbers from NBS. Despite the recession, experts believe that the number of transaction using mobile will increase during the holiday and the latest report from social network Twitter may offer a preview of how people are already shopping this holiday.
Twitter recently partnered with research company Euromonitor International to gauge the behaviour of holiday shoppers and what use they are putting their devices.
It discovered that deals and discounts are the most popular information with 70 percent of respondents using their mobile phones to search for deals while they shop and 43 percent likely to visit a store after seeing a deal on Twitter.
The report which was published on a blog post found that 73 percent of consumers are more likely to buy from a small business during the holidays if they see a sale, deal, or special on Twitter.
In view of the results, Twitter advices businesses to tweet their best holiday discounts often.
“This is the perfect time to promote your best deals and include a festive image that showcases your products. Avoid generic holiday imagery and put your product front and centre.
“Use the Tweet activity dashboard to monitor engagement rates and identify which content drives the most engagement – this will help give you a better understanding of what your audience wants to see. Once you find which deals are resonating most with your audience, increase your reach by featuring your best performing content in a Twitter Ads campaign,” Marissa Window, Twitter blogger wrote.
