The Makarfi led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has successfully stalled the hearing of a suit filed by the factional Chairman of the party, Ali Modu Sheriff against the botched national convention in Portharcourt, Rivers state.
The trial judge, Justice Okon Abang of an Abuja Federal High Court in his ruling had adjourned the matter sine die, as a result of an interlocutory appeal filed by the Makarfi led group, before the Court of Appeal.
Justice Abang however lambasted the group over the notice of appeal which had challenged the jurisdiction of the court to entertain the suit, owing to the fact that, the issue was never moved before the Federal High Court, before it was made as a ground for appeal.
