The All Peoples Progressive party has begun its primary elections in Ondo state against the gubernatorial elections that will commence in November, 2016 in the state.

The election was contested amongst 24 governorship aspirants with over 3,000 delegates in attendance.

Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar chaired the primary election committee.

The election commenced at 12:15 pm after accreditation, amidst tight security as the committee chairman, Abubakar urged participants to be orderly and peaceful.
