6 ships laden with petrol waiting to discharge in Lagos ports

Six ships waiting to berth in Lagos ports would discharge petrol, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Tuesday.

The document noted that the remaining two ships would berth with bulk fertiliser and fresh fish.

Thirty two ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos from Aug. 16 to Aug. 27.

NPA explained that the expected ships contained buck wheat, bulk sugar, containers, base oil, frozen fish, steel products, frozen fish, bulk salt, bulk fertiliser and petrol.

Twenty other ships are at the ports discharging general cargoes, buck wheat, bulk fertiliser, empty containers, bulk corn, bulk gas, Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO) and petrol. (NAN)
