NBA President appoints interim steering committee for SPIDEL

 

 

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Augustine, Alegeh, SAN has appointed an Interim steering committee for the Section on Public Interest and Development Law (SPIDEL).

 

The three-man committee consisting of Professor Chidi Odinkalu, Nurudeen Ogbara Esq. and Ms. Idayat Hassan is mandated to administer the affairs  of  the  Section  for a maximum period of six weeks and to take steps to organise elections for a new leadership for the Section.

 

Congratulating members of the committee, the President urged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear on the new assignment to assist the NBA/ Section to achieve its set objectives.

 

According to him, the appointment was in exercise   of the powers  of  Article IX (b) of the Uniform Bye- Laws of Sections, Institutes and Fora of the Nigerian Bar Association.
