Between today and tomorrow, the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), the apex body representing the Auto Component Industry in India with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, is organising a two-day India Aftermarket Auto Show (ACMA Buyer Seller Meet) in Lagos.
With its membership of over 750 companies, ACMA accounts for over 85 percent of the industry’s turnover. The auto component industry in India has a turnover of about $39 billion, including exports of $10.81 billion.
With the government of India’s vision to make India a leading destination for designing and manufacturing of automobiles and auto components, the opportunity for India to emerge as a global market supplier of automotive parts and components strengthens further.
According to Automotive Mission Plan 2016-26 (AMP), the Indian auto component industry may attain an impressive $200 billion in revenue by 2026, with exports in the region of $80 billion.
Industry sources say the Show will help in projecting the growing capabilities and product offering of the Indian Auto Component Industry. This is an ideal opportunity for Indian auto component suppliers to interact with agents, dealers, distributors and manufacturers of Nigeria.
M/S Frost & Sullivan has been engaged as knowledge partner of ACMA to organize this event and to arrange B2B meetings for the Indian Exhibitors. We are expecting around 15 -20 companies to join this initiative.
