MTN Appoints Rob Shuter as Group President, CEO

MTN Group Ltd., Africa’s biggest mobile-phone company, said its board has decided to appoint Rob Shuter as group president and chief executive officer.

Shuter, a South African national, is the current CEO of the European cluster at Vodafone Group Plc, Johannesburg-based MTN said in a statement Monday. Following the resolution of its Nigerian dispute, MTN has completed a review of its governance and management structures, it said.
