VDT Communications, an enterprise solution provider for corporate organisations recently marked fifteen years in the business of providing technology services in Nigeria.

The company which celebrated its achievements in the last fifteen years with its partners and customers in Lagos at the weekend, insisted on providing quality service that will drive growth in organisations, at a period when business development seems tough as a result of the harsh business environment in the country.

Speaking on the general business growth and sustainability in the country, the Managing Director of VDT Communications, Biodun Omoniyi said:

“It has been interesting running business and providing services to organisations for fifteen years. Not many companies have come this far, because the Nigerian business environment is very harsh and has led to many companies going under. But for fifteen years, VDT Communications has made an appreciable mark in business, hence we decided to celebrate our success story with our partners and friends.”

“Our growth and successes achieved over the last fifteen years have been centered around corporate organisations but going forward, our plan is to explore more retail business in Nigeria, in relation to our service offerings, he said.

According to Omoniyi, the company recently launched the VDT 4G LTE Advance solution, which is a retail broadband service that delivers data to mobile devices at the speed of light.

It addresses data services in desktop and mobile devices.

“We have the smaller units of it like MiFi, that provide data signals to mobile devices that are compliant with Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology.

“We have covered Lagos Island, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, and we are planning to cover Ikeja in Lagos, before the end of the month, Omoniyi said.

Explaining the benefits of this new development, Omoniyi said; “Our 4GLTE Advance is unique because it is very fast and it is based on quality service provision. We are the first company to offer 4G Advance technology and it comes with higher speed, increased capacities and bandwidth, and what this means in engineering parlance is that it provides quality service at the speed of light.”

Speaking on the need for quality service in business, Omoniyi said VDT already had over 2,500 enterprise access points in Lagos, from where it services different customers like bank branches, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), government agencies, among other customers.

“As far as quality service is concerned, we have done well and our customers are happy with our services. We have gone beyond that to get international certifications that will better improve on our quality service offerings,” he said.

Addressing the area of certification for business support, Omoniyi said VDT got the ISO 20001 international certification, based on quality and business agility offered by its solutions.

He said VDT became the first company to have ISO 20001certification in Nigeria, which confirms the high quality service it provides to customers.

Climax of the celebration, was the presentation of long service awards to some deserving staff of the company.
