Ahmed Musa is the subject of a £23m bid by Premier League champions Leicester City, according to his current manager.
The Foxes were linked with a move for the CSKA Moscow striker in January but a bid did not materialise.
Now, according to CSKA boss Leonid Slutskiy, Leicester have made a firm offer for the Nigerian.
The 23-year old scored 18 goals for the Russian champions in all competitions this season, including four in the Champions League.
Speaking to Match TV, Slutskiy revealed Leicester had made a move: “The British club offered a bit less than €30m (£22.86m),” he said.
“Musa came to me a few days ago and asked when [Claudio Ranieri] is back for the holidays and I told him I do not know, I do not know Ranieri.”
Leicester are believed to have not been willing to meet the club’s £18m asking price in January.
The Nigeria international is currently on duty with the Super Eagles, where he has scored 11 goals in 57 matches.
