The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has berated some media reports excluding BusinessDay, which it says have been biased in the reportage of the tribunal proceedings of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
William Atedze, a member of the CCT panel at the resumption of the trial berated a newspaper article which alleged his, timid attitude at the trial. The publication further said that he was not making meaningful contribution to the process.

A visibly angry Atedze said there have been a lot of rumours which have painted the CCT in negative light. He specifically pointed out a certain article titled: ‘CCT and the birds of the same feather.’
“What has been at the back of the mind of the tribunal is of national interest. When someone is saying one member is not checkmating the other, do you expect us to fight ourselves at the bench?” he queried.
He further stated that the issue was not about the Senate President but about Nigeria.
“I believe the writer of that article must be a layman”, he said.
