Fueledup a mobile app that will enable consumers order petroleum products – Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), diesel and aviation fuel is set to launch in Lagos next month.

23 year-old Subomi Owo-Odusi, a Lagos resident tells BusinesDay that his mobile app that will be available on Andriod, Windows and Apple app store is created to reduce the long queues in fuel stations and eliminate the stress Nigerians face to get petroleum products.

“I noticed that personally, the city is stressed, so I asked myself, how I can take something off the stress. Also everyone is looking for easier ways to access things, why not create an app that they can use to order fuel on their phone and they can just relax and await the delivery.

“Where I am going with Fueledup is that a mother wakes up in the morning and has a checklist of what to do, she ticks them out. On that list she also has fuel purchase and she can tick it and the next thing she does is take her phone and request for fuel. By the time she is coming out to go to the market her car would have been fuelled. For the sake of transparency, if she wants to be there when the car is being fuelled up, fine. But if she doesn’t we make sure she gets exactly what she ordered for. Convenience is the selling point,” said Owo-Odusi.

Odusi who worked in a petroleum delivery company said his initiative will not lack for fuel supply as he has reliable sources in petroleum depots.

The process according to the techpreneur is simple as he demonstrates it. “You download the app, signup and log-in. You can request for the products and put your card details for online payment.”

To ensure timely delivery, trucks will be stationed in strategic location in such a way that if one truck is a not able to make a delivery another can easily come to the rescue.

“The entire process is seamless. The app picks your location, you select the product you want and we strive to deliver within the agreed delivery period usually between one and two hours depending on the kind of package you choose.”

“The packages on offer are in three tiers: priority which delivers in 30 minutes to an hour, expectant which promises delivery in 30 minutes to two hours, and flexible which has a three hour guarantee.”

The goal of Fueledup app is become Africa’s biggest personal filling station and already has dreams to launch beyond Lagos. Already the company is beginning to get request from potential customers. In view of the launch in May, the app is undergoing a series of redesigning which will see it work more efficiently and faster. The company is also talking to a number of eager investors and financial institutions.

The focus, according to Odusi, is to supply cars, houses, offices and boats.
